Responsible Tourism
Small-scale, high-quality experiences designed to celebrate the natural environment while minimizing their ecological footprint.
Blanche-Marie, Suriname. A remarkable place. A greater purpose.
Deep within the rainforest of Suriname lies Blanche-Marie, a place of extraordinary natural beauty and the potential to become something more meaningful.
A new chapter is taking shape.
Our ambition is to develop Blanche-Marie into a destination where responsible tourism, scientific research, nature conservation and local economic opportunity reinforce one another.
We envision a place where visitors experience the rainforest with respect, researchers find opportunities for meaningful fieldwork, and surrounding communities take part in long-term economic development.
Not simply a destination to visit, but a place whose future is worth building together.
Small-scale, high-quality experiences designed to celebrate the natural environment while minimizing their ecological footprint.
Creating opportunities for scientific collaboration, biodiversity research and the long-term protection of the surrounding natural environment.
Developing partnerships that support local employment, skills development and lasting economic participation.
Our long-term goal is to establish a financially resilient model in which responsible tourism contributes to conservation, research strengthens knowledge, and strategic partnerships help develop the infrastructure needed to support both.
We believe Blanche-Marie's future should create value not only for those who visit, but also for the environment and the people connected to it.
The vision for Blanche-Marie began with Juliaan (Jul.) Maurits Dubois.
Today, his daughter, Evita Dubois, continues that work with a renewed commitment to the place and its long-term potential.
That history gives Blanche-Marie its roots. Its future will be shaped by the people, institutions and partners who help bring the next chapter to life.
An invitation to partners around the world.
Blanche-Marie is entering a new chapter, and we are seeking international partners who share our commitment to responsible development, scientific discovery and long-term conservation. We are particularly interested in working with:
Committed to supporting biodiversity protection, environmental stewardship and measurable conservation initiatives.
Interested in field research, biodiversity studies, ecological monitoring and knowledge exchange.
With experience in low-impact destination development, sustainable operations and meaningful visitor experiences.
Seeking credible opportunities to support conservation, renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure and community development.
We welcome partnerships that go beyond financial contributions. All of these can play a role:
“Our invitation is to help shape the foundation, not simply support the outcome.”
We are looking to build relationships grounded in shared responsibility, transparency and a commitment to lasting value.
Whether you represent an international foundation, a university, a conservation organisation or a company with a meaningful sustainability agenda, we welcome the opportunity to explore what we can achieve together.
Be part of what comes next.
Tell us who you are, what your organisation does and how you would like to contribute to the future of Blanche-Marie.
We aim to respond within two working days.
